Wednesday is the last day of 8th grade and then I go to high school!!

@Alfred22 I hate school and nothing is gonna change my mind. Plus I think private schools are more strict than public.

@choijamie09 Is the reason you hate school that in your district paddle swats are used? Perhaps your parents could choose to Opt Out? If so, then maybe you could arrange for that. You might have to follow rules and perhaps be a bit more well-mannered.

@Alfred22 I hate learning because it’s boring and I don’t make good grades and I don’t have many friends and get made fun of sometimes because of my weight. And yea also because I get paddled. My parents chose for me to get paddled.

@choijamie09 You are obviously Gifted and Talented! Maybe what makes school boring is that it is not pitched at your level. If you like adults and enjoy SW, then maybe you should consider skipping hs and try a short college course. If you like it, then you can see what other opportunities are available..

@choijamie09 I appreciate your honesty. Somehow along your educational path, you became smart. It is as they say, a double edged sword. It may make you more unhappy. Why did your parents think that they should sign the permission slip for paddling? How many swats this year?

@Alfred22 I’m not really that smart. I think I’m smart in English but that’s it. I make C’s and D’s in everything else.

My parents want me to get punished for misbehaving even if it’s at school. I got 8 smacks each time.

@choijamie09 Eight is a big dose. What is the limit? Or is there a limit? What do the kids get who Opt Out of paddling? A note home? Detention on Friday? A phone call home and immediate suspension? I am glad to hear that the school appreciates your English skills.

@Alfred22 the limit is 10.

If they opt out they get detention which is on Wednesday mornings before school
