Besides English and Spanish, what's the next most useful language to know in the US?

I'm just brainstorming my future plans. Right now, I'm taking Duolingo Spanish lessons to brush up on my Spanish, but I think I wanna learn something else after that.

Many never consider American Sign Language. It is extremely useful.So many need interpreters.

That's a good point. I met a few college friends who were taking ASL classes. I'll consider that.

Yes. I feel that ASL should be taught to every child, starting in kindergarten, and it would take only one generation for everybody to know it. Done properly, it could be a universal language, at least, on the North American continent.
