Besides English and Spanish, what's the next most useful language to know in the US?

I'm just brainstorming my future plans. Right now, I'm taking Duolingo Spanish lessons to brush up on my Spanish, but I think I wanna learn something else after that.

It might depend on where you live. If there's a specific ethnic community or history, that would be a good one to learn.Globally, definitely would say mandarin.
