Who else uses Duolingo? When will my fluency percentage go up?

I remember it said I was 9% fluent after I took the placement test and was placed right before the first checkpoint, but I'm already past the 2nd checkpoint now, and it still says I'm at 9% fluency.

It will help you learn the basics of languages but I've found that shitposting online helps more than anything else (short of living in a different country).

Yeah, I figured it won't teach everything, but I think I'll try to get through all the lessons so I can be half decent at speaking Spanish. And I took Spanish in high school, but I feel like I need a refresher and Duolingo helps.
