What’s the most disappointing moment you’ve had in your life recently?

Mine is not being able to attend either my bachelor’s or master’s graduation ceremony’s due to covid. They were postponed for 2 years and pretty much forgotten about after that.

Imagine growing up having people say you won’t amount to anything because you’re an idiot, then graduating at a high ranking university as the highest ranked student on a course of hundreds, winning awards for your accomplishments and looking forward to giving those people the finger at your graduation as you’re called onto a stage to collect your awards, only to be told nah, no graduation for you

Eh

Keep trying.. Just move to get it. There were so many who wanted the same only to fail because they lack determination.

Mine is my mom getting at worst. I don’t really care about what other people could say about me, they can just pretty tell or invent stories and still I don’t give a fvck because their aren’t important to me. It just hurts that of all the people…it was my mom who has to pull it down addicted to sympathy, she does all for the attention. No wonder I have been okay being alone than being with her. I could go no where.

@Sepia I can't get it now, they aren't having anymore graduations so I can't

Do you mean she's possessive and takes attention? Do you feel better alone?

Weird.. but she destructs my focus at work and at school. I already have made conscious effort on how to be close to her but it will always end up worst…her weird expectations shouldn’t be taken seriously.. she has a constant discontent no matter how high or how simple I want my life to be.. in short a dragger. She envied the other mom and daughter bond which she thought are perfect daughters but no… That’s her ever since. It’s always better to be away from her. @SW-User

@Sepia Doesn't sound like it's your fault

I have suffered because of it. As they say a mom wouldn’t so anything like that to her daughter…as to them I am the bad one. lol not even my cousins, her nieces could not live with her. @SW-User

@Sepia Yeah you can't pick your mum unfortunately lol. I'm sure you're not, let your cousins have her lol

@SW-User cousins doesnt stay so she adopted some kids to fill her house.
SW-User
@Sepia Your mum adopted kids to fill her house?
Sepia · 36-40, F
@SW-User yeah because she’s lonely.. and when I finally had the courage to visit her and spend a a short vacation…I was quite talkative because deep within me I am longing to bond.. even get along with her adopted kids. Of course If I am talkative to others and more to them and so…..”we used to have quiet and serene life” she hinted. 😖
SW-User
@Sepia Oh god, so she's mad you started talking to her and her adopted kids (your brothers and sisters?). If she wanted a quiet life why is she adopting kids for company lol
Sepia · 36-40, F
@SW-User It has been long years.. now that I visited and that’s just she said. She adopted kids because her house is empty.
SW-User
@Sepia That's mean of her, I'm sorry
Sepia · 36-40, F
@SW-User I bonded well with the kids, so refreshing.. than with her. That’s my mom and me never ending situation. Hehe
