I have started teaching people who could not finish their schooling

I have understood quite later in my life that not everyone's life is like that of a princess living in a bubble. My bubble burst when i started reading a lot of painful struggling real life stories here.

And i wondered how ignorant i have been towards people of my nation who might need some support or help.

SW has taught me a lot and it encouraged me to reach out to my countrymen. I met a farmer here with whom i later exchanged my number and i learnt he couldn't finish his studies because it was not affordable..

The least i can do is teach him and people like him. I have always been good at academics with a double master's degree and pH.d on the way.

What's the point of acquiring education and knowledge if it can't be passed on ?

I really want to do more and i will take those steps to find out how i can contribute.

Merely adopting two kids by sponsoring their education is not the way. I need to go beyond and if God blessed me with a different lifestyle and background i should be grateful and put it to good use for the one's who couldn't.

Thank you for bursting my bubble.

That's some awakening for sure. 👏
Good luck and God speed 🤞
Thank you for letting your bubble be burtst because there are some very intelligent, honest and loving people who are trying to cope and make it through a wide range of struggles. Shutting people down because you don’t like their story is hurtful. You add to the narrative that no one will ever like or accept when you push people off for not being “perfect”, or your version of it. So detrimental and as a broken person, I never forget when someone rejects me because my mental health isn’t top notch. Especially when I’m fighting the put downs in my head already every day. You’ll find most broken people don’t need much because we’re pretty strong, a drop of kindness is appreciated and goes a long way.

You can try contacting the NGOs working in your district for part time volunteering. Maybe things align with your availability and their needs.
