Could I get some uplifting stories of people going to pursue their college degree in the their middle age?

Life happened quickly when I was fresh out of high school and it was something I always said I would go back and do, and I am just now getting around to considering the idea.

Worked with a graduate student in geology who was a grandmother in her late 50's. She was getting her PhD after working orbital to geoscience while raising her family and working an administrative job. She was awesome.

When I taught in a classroom doing straight classes, I had a retired women who decided to get a bachelor's degree in physics. Because. Just cuz.

A bunch of returning students who were former military. One guy worked pumping liquid oxygen into jets at a strategic air command base near the arctic. Scrambling to get SAC pilots in the air 24/7/365 in all conditions. He was awesome.

A bunch of women who were getting nursing degrees with their kids finally more or less self caring. Like early teens. Or with kids just out of the house. Also awesome.
