I’m going to die…. 🥵🥵
I’m scheduled to teach two ESL classes this fall semester. Both of them are suppose to start next week.
My speech class in the morning is touch and go. I won’t know until last minute whether or not I will be teaching that class because it’s an offsite class, and I still don’t know how many students are registered. This is the nature of offsite classes unfortunately. You don’t know until last minute whether or not the class will run, but I still have to prepare for it.
My evening class is a definite go ahead. I’m allowed to have 40 students in my class, and I reached 40 students after only 11 days of my class going live on the college website. Several of the students are previous students of mine who want to be in my class but are not necessarily ready for this level. But I can’t deny them. I currently have 40 registered students, and two more are on the waitlist. I still have one more week before my class starts, and I anticipate more students will be on the waitlist. I plan to teach paragraph writing in this evening class because they are low intermediate level. As much as I love teaching ESL, my pet peeve is editing paragraphs. And with 40+ students in my class, I’m going to dread it. 😰😓🫠😵
