@Pinkstarburst So no one else can be selfish. Got it.

@MrBrownstone Not every student finishes their degree/diploma but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t start one in the first place.
However the point of the student loan holiday is to grab student votes, not worry about how many will finish the degree they started on.

I am so glad my kids did not have to hold down 3 jobs, like I did at times during my college years. And I'm just as happy that some of the kids getting loan forgiveness can get a break. They are, after all, my compatriots.

Lol perhaps stop giving loans to every 2nd/3rd grade students who neither manage to get a good college/degree or capable enough to be competitive in job market. Every year tens of thousands of students from Asian/African countries go to US on loans with heavy interest, complete studies, get a job in US with 6 figure salary and repay loans.
It's hilarious that coz of political affinity you people support this.
Education only thrives on hardwork and merit. It's better to be a plumber than holding a MBA that has no value other than flaunting on Quora and LinkedIn.

Hopefully those students know that it'll become public knowledge if their student loans were forgiven even partially or fully

I’m split 50/50 on the idea.
Yes it’s definitely a vote grab. 100% and for Biden, votes are important.
The actual measurable economic returns from a “student loan holiday” are not guaranteed over the short or medium term but students in debt probably don’t care about that.
