One of the billion reasons why teacher morale is low...

I had the head of curriculum basically tell me today that I don't know my students well enough to know if they should be in Pre-Algebra or Algebra next year and that they will figure it out based on data.

Are you *(&%%&# kidding me? Students I have spent the entire year with? I have no clue if they are ready for the next level?

I had all I could do to not tell this woman off. What the heck do people think teachers do that they wouldn't know their own students??

*throws stuff around and storms out of the room*

Teachers also aren’t paid enough so there’s that

@SW-User Yes. I’m not paid enough to be treated like that. I just get tired of doing my job and then being essentially told I don’t know what I’m doing. When administrators have no faith in their veteran teachers, the teachers stop caring.
