Finally passed my last exam and now I'm officially a doctor of dental medicine (D.M.D)

For the last six years I've been trough grueling study in medical school and it's finally over. Just had my exam in maxillo-facial surgery which was the last of six total exams for the branches of dentistry and I'm finally free to set out and start a career.

@Oster1 Really? That's like a prison sentence almost just like us :D
I heard medical education in the US lasts 4 years, here in Bulgaria it's 6 years, where are you from?

@DrSunnyTheSkeptic I was including undergrad. 4 years here in US. So yours was longer. Was that including working under supervision?

@Oster1 The way it works in Bulgaria with dentistry is the following:
First 3 years are known as pre-clinical education where we study medical basics- Latin, Anatomy, cytology, embryology, histology, medical physics, hygiene, biochemistry, physiology, pathophysiology, pathoanatomy, forensic medicine and many many more as well as dental subjects where we learn tooth anatomy and do a lot of manual work like shaping bars of soap into teeth 3x the normal size, drawing teeth, making wax models, pretty much anything to make our hands learn. When you get to year 4 that's when the real fun starts, you get all clinical aspects of dentistry like prosthetic dentistry, surgery, conservative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, orthodontics, periodontology and other medical subjects like general surgery, internal diseases, phycology, neurology, psychiatry, general pediatrics etc. During year 4, 5 and 6 we work with patients under supervision and finish with state examinations.
