I only do this in professional settings, where it is expected. I'm just very good at telling clients and potential employers what they want to hear.

@Nikuche idk, it feels "dirty" to me a lot of the time. But it is what is required to put food on the table, so I must nurture these skills 🤷‍♀️

@Nikuche I believe in honesty and transparency in personal relationships. So my marriage, family life, and social life are without pretense as much as possible.

But it's different at work. The social expectations are different so I've based my approach on "successful men." They mostly lie about their qualifications and wing it. So I've started doing that pretty successfully myself. I consider that manipulation and feel bad about it, but it is pretty much what is required to have a decent job these days.

But sometimes it is necessary to score a paycheck.
