I'm graduating with my Master's of Science in Educational Administration in December, and I'm torn on whether or not I want to attend the graduation ceremony. On one hand, it really isn't that important to me, and it's just another thing I'm going to have to put on my calendar. But on the other hand, it is my master's degree, and I don't want to skip and then regret it. But on the other hand, I don't feel like I've actually accomplished anything amazing, because my coursework was incredibly easy. Any thoughts? Did anyone skip theirs and wish they hadn't? Did anyone actually attend and it wasn't a big deal after all?

I didn't go to mine because I couldn't really afford it and I didn't really appreciate what it meant. And anyway, I didn't have a gown or a motar, But now, everyone is proud of thier graduation photo, standing there holding their certificate and wearing their gown...

My advice is... If you can attend, then do it. You will never get the opportunity to repeat the occasion and as you get older, you will be pleased you did - even if you don't think so, now.
You've done everything else... you might as well do the final steps and attend the ceremony. You've earned it.

See it through to its conclusion.
That way at least it’s a completed piece of your life.

I skipped mine but it was an administrative issue that they wouldn't let me walk with the class that I was president of.
They wanted me to walk 6 months later at which time I didn't care.
Im introverted and kinda cynical in general but I probably would have gone if I walked with the people that I had suffered with in my program.
Now years later I feel nothing.
So guess it depends on what's important to you.
Ps walking is often for the people in your life more so than yourself.

You should go, it’s a big accomplishment.
