Should I retake the class or ask for partial credit?

I'm taking one class in community college which I was already near failing halfway through the semester. The teacher does not seem to like my work even though I think I did a good job on my essays. I stopped caring in the middle of the semester and haven't done any work for a couple weeks. My missing assignments have significantly lowered my grade to a 44%. There's only one week left. What do you think I should do?

Can you retake the class with a different teacher? Your first mistake was basically giving up second mistake not doing the work. Take your failing grade and take the class again. Sometimes you need to take the bad criticism to do better. I thought I was a pretty good writer and my brother recommended the teacher he had. Big mistake, it seemed like she didn't like my work and I would get a C at best. While another class my work was used as an example. So sometimes some teachers are just not the right ones to teach you and always learn from your writing.

@Unholymanswers if it is a class you are required to take then you would have to retake it in order to graduate. You may have to apply to another community college with a different teacher, for that class only if you really don't want that teacher again. I'm not sure if this website works its rate my professor. You type in your teachers name and location and students tell you about there experience.
