Conspiracies

I can understand that there can actually be real conspiracies and it is okay to beleive one. But why is it that people that have a conspiratorial mindset not just stop at one or two but will end up believing like 20 different ones and mix them all together even if they conflict?
Are their brains just susceptible to a certain way of thinking and thus they fall for every one of them?

Seems to me like we are entering an era where people are rejecting everything from modern science, to traditional journalism, to normal politics, and rational explanations.

We seem to be turning back to superstition. It's so cynical. People believe everything is an elabourate lie, even common sense itself is under attack.

@JimboSaturn It is an not just anti-science or even anti-authority. It is anti-trust anything at all that has made civilization for the last few hundred years.

@canusernamebemyusername I agree! It's the sum of human knowledge. Sometimes I feel people are rejecting reality
