Is it a wise thing to have a personal connection to a teacher?

I don't mean private activities like bowling, but the ability to talk about personal stuff now and then.

@elafina I always thought that once you might disagree on something, the teacher could still make you fail or such.

@scooogy hmm i first thought, the dangers are far bigger than just making you fail, so then i thought, let him learn for himself 😜

@elafina It's because the supervisor of the major that I study is now the supervisor of my thesis, and she already got to know back then that whilst I had to prepare for my final attempt in one of the written exams back then, that I secretly had classes for the rest of my credit points to gain, and she wasn't that happy about that. And now that I have my thesis going on, in my free time I "study" what I got to know in "Introduction to bio-informatics" due to corona virus 🙈

@scooogy still, you studied and keep studying, it's not that you cheated really.. try to be abstract and throw her attention to something else? that's evil omg

@elafina The thing is that she wants students to really focus on their last regular attempt, because there might be an extra attempt for exceptional reasons, but if the students kept getting distracted, that would be a waste of time.

@scooogy hmm then the plan to sort of reset and just follow whatever she says?

@elafina I somehow need to get to know about what's to be done so I can calm down a bit :/

@scooogy try some breathing techniques in the meantime 😉

@elafina I guess due to my depression, the deeper breathing only comes with relieving thoughts :/ or distraction

@scooogy it works the other way around too, you begin the deep breathing till your thoughts are relieved.. try and see for yourself, not everything fits everyone
