If you step out of math and into real-world though, you have to account for unit types and what the 1 represents

@Tennessee4: because 1/3 in long division means you put a 0 after the 1 (which moves the answer into being a decimal) so you get 10/3 which is 3 with remainder 1. To divide that 1 you add a 0 and move over one more decimal place, so you get 10/3.. so the same thing happens to infinity
