Why does my kitten grunt?

I'm not sure I'd call it a grunt, but he makes these low pitch noises kind of like a grunt. Sometimes when hes stretching or sleeping but he does it sometimes when I hold him. Maybe like hes in discomfort. I hold him very gently with both my arms and let him stand or lay how he wants

Two of my cats are sisters and they both do something like that except they're high pitched. They also have high pitched meows in general. They make the noise a lot and I think it's just like a meow except they just don't open their mouth. They do this when they notice something, play with laser pointers, or land on their feet.

I've also noticed a lower pitched one from my other cat in your given examples and I think it's like a sigh or a snore

@SW-User yah it's a lot louder when he lands after a big jump. It's cute when hes stretching but has me concerned if I'm just holding him
