School/college is the most depressing thing I’ve ever dealt with and I will not force it on my children

Education doesn’t equal intelligence, anyway. It’s not worth your mental health

I did not go to college after highschool and I have struggled the entire time to find jobs to help support my family and myself. I did start college many years ago but never finished because I had a child. I was a preschool teacher and later a director. None of which paid me a true living wage.

I am now in my 40's and earning my bachelors degree in English and Cfeative Writing which is what I should have done long ago.

School is not about intelligence. It is about experience and skills. It is about growing and learning more than you knew before.

If you can't handle it now then wait. But don't blame your inability to do school on anyone or anything but yourself.

My mental health is better now that I am achieving something other than sitting on my ass and complaining.
