Why? They teach farmers to do that. They call it division of labor.

@quitwhendone Then perhaps the farmers can teach these children

@SimplyTracie It's good for kids to know how to grow something. It would make a good lesson in biology class. But kids should also learn first aid, how to do simple computer programming, and how to cook and how to speak a foreign language. The more they learn, the better.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@quitwhendone Agreed. Gardening is very much a part of science.
quitwhendone · M
@SimplyTracie Maybe kids should also raise goats or sheep or chickens or some farm animal.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@quitwhendone I dunno about that. If a plant dies no one would care but if an animal dies... big time trouble.
quitwhendone · M
@SimplyTracie You think kids would kill an animal with neglect?
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@quitwhendone Not on purpose but it’s possible.
quitwhendone · M
@SimplyTracie Come on, have more faith in America's children.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@quitwhendone I do but shit happens you know. And it just happens that animals need a lot more attention outside of school hours.
Are you volunteering to check on them?

@SimplyTracie Ummmm, no. One of the kids can take the animal home on the weekends. The kids can rotate thru that duty.
By the way, I think you'd make a good school teacher.

@quitwhendone Thank you but no. Teachers must be loving and willing to make many sacrifices.
quitwhendone · M
@SimplyTracie Is Tracie not a caring and loving person? I know she is.
SimplyTracie · 26-30, F
@quitwhendone Not enough. It takes a lot more than I have.
quitwhendone · M
@SimplyTracie Ok, I'll take your word for it.
