Commuting to college was the dumbest decision I've made.

I have no freedom. My parents feel they need to know my schedule. They complain about my student teaching placement. They never care what I have to say about school anyways. They want to track my phone. They need to know who I'm texting. Like the people I know don't even do crazy stuff...just make late night runs to get food...but like that would never be allowed for me

They are worried about you (normal) but you will have way less debt when you graduate. that is huge!

@fun4us2b No it's beyond normal...they want me to switch my major and practically hand select my career for me without even listening to my own aspirations and goals. It's a neurotic need for control

@antisocialbutterfly That sucks, Just curious...what are they suggesting vs your ideas?
antisocialbutterfly · 22-25, F
@fun4us2b different fields of education

@antisocialbutterfly I know, like what? Something crazy, boring? What do you like?

@fun4us2b Im on the path to be a special educator and they want me to be a general educator

@antisocialbutterfly Hmm, it's not so far apart (is it?)...I wonder why they think that it's so important?
antisocialbutterfly · 22-25, F
@fun4us2b they think i cant handle it

@antisocialbutterfly You mean the special needs part? That does take practice, but it's dooable for someone that wants to.

Have you done any type of volunteering that would give you an idea what it's like? That may be good so you and everyone can see how it goes...
