Some narcissists claim to be loners or introverts as a cover for training their supply to give them space at certain times. It’s lowering your expectations. Having space, in itself, is never a problem. It’s healthy and normal. But nothing about a narcissist is normal.

I think this fits "the covert" narc more.
Covert is like a spy, means silent, under the radar.

They don’t want love, they want attention.
They don’t really care about falling in love or commitment or intimacy, they like the chase, they like the attention, they like the validation they get when they’re admired or complimented. That’s why their relationships are all short-lived, not serious or one-sided because they’re not looking for anything deep. They just want the reassurance that they can get anyone they want.

@Ladyofemotions Yup and they claim they want intimacy and closeness but they can't stand the test of time, cause it's rooted in shallow egotism I think
