Is there a gender-neutral equivalent of the term "patriarchy"?

Um, no. Rule through the bloodlines can only occur with "patri" (father) or "matri" (mother) as a dominant figure. There are no other sexual options to produce a bloodline.

LGBT are sexual preferences. They have nothing to do with ruling within a bloodline.

Rule through bloodlines = aristocracy & monarchy, both are hierarchial, as is patriarchy. And although the former tends to be more patriarchal, they're both predominantly patriarchal.
