That's great that you are proud of your language. 2000 yrs is a long time as us Humans know it. There is obviously a reason why it has survived for so long.
My native language is English but I am a South African. I am a descendant of colonialism...:-)

@Wraithorn you are from a country that has undone its legacy of colonialism, or at least tried to. I think that is something to be proud of. We in Canada are trying to find our way there.
Wraithorn · 51-55, M
@starsslave: Well I wish you and Canada good luck. We are all playing a part in the raising of the consciousness of Humanity in general. It takes time but we'll get there eventually. Al of us Humans come from the same source ultimately. We are all one ultimately.
Namaste...:-)

My native language is Dutch.

Bhavitra · 31-35, F
It'll be a mouthful trust me. And Tamil has its own characters which is hard to Anglicanize. Dutch is one of Malaysia's colonial masters
FeetAreFantastic · 41-45, M
@Bhavitra: Geez! Good thing I don't need to put my name in Tamil then.
