Japanese School or American school

If you were a teacher for a day, would you teach a class full of American students or Japanese students? I work in an American public school and some kids are rowdy and disrespectful. I never had the experience of being in a Japanese classroom but from watching videos the students seem well disciplined and work together as a unit. There’s this app I use called periscope where you can watch broadcast from around the world.I follow this one Japanese so I can ask her how are the children in the classroom.

There is a distinct difference in the two (US and Japanese) cultures regarding obedience, respect and discipline (self imposed) and respect for family. We here in the states in our Public School systems pretty much lost those tenets, ergo.. rowdy, disruptive and coddled students.

Well it’s funny how you said public schools lost those tenets because they are passing out booklets that has a focus word of the month to follow. One of them would be respect and majority of the students dismiss it.@soar2newhighs

@OpalFlower Obviously, they need to do more than pass out a pamphlet. But no one can sue you over passing out pamphlets, and school districts cannot afford teams of lawyers plus the funds to fight lawsuits.
