@Marceline America giving up its arms (like your home country) means more than just our love for the weapons. Think of how many wars the US has been in in its homeland. Both foreign invasion and civil... without our weapons, our country becomes a target. One of the biggest reasons no one since the European invasions has tried to invade our land is BECAUSE Americans are armed to the teeth.
Plus, gun control decreases deaths by guns themselves, but knives and other objects become a more common weapons.

Obama had a government shut down, now the Cheeto man wants one, but for much longer period of time till he gets what he wants.
Middle east has a little oil?, let;s have some... breach of agreement? ok lets start a war and take much more oil.
taxes are high? let raise them so our "leaders" pockets become more full.
so on... so forth....
I trust in my state of Texas government... US governmetn.. not so much.

I would like to see how many tank, rockets, and helicopters it would take to have enough coverage, fuel, and men, to take over the US before supplies run out. Not to mention the terrain in each part of the country
should we have access to nervegas? no.. explosives? no.
One thing is having protection for self defense and home invasion....
you are speaking now of war items. one of which is illigal in warfare, but legal in use for law enforcement. not sure how defending our full right to bear arms come around the logic of nervegas and explosives.

@mark245pineapple93 wait.. you said your enemy is your own country... so if you feel threatened your military should be the first one you should mistrust ans be aware to fend yourself off.
and yeah nervegas isntr even allowed for military, that was bad. but explosives ? i mean its easy enough to make them out of fertilizer, anyone with half a brain and internet can make a bomb that blows up a whole building easy enough, so might aswell legalize it and make it a business.
