Has anyone walked in college graduation ceremony without the full amount of credits needed?

I plan to graduate in Spring 2019. I have three credits I would have left after next semester but I still would like to walk in the ceremony. Does anyone know how this works? I know all colleges are different but maybe there is a general rule of thumb. I submitted a petition today but I’m too impatient to wait for an answer.
