@SimplyLogicalDiscipline well its true I tried to teach my sister to cook she didn't get it within the hour and I turned incredible hulk on her. And then said fuck of out my kitchen.

We didn't learn our native language instantly, either. We learned by "peat and repeat" as my late mother used to say. But not everyone is cut out to be a patient teacher, either. The German I began to learn was for two reasons - 1.) my last name is definitely German, and I thought it would be educational. and 2.)seeing posts from my "teacher" in partial German made me curious as to what it was in English. We more or less agreed to teach each other and have been doing it since.
