I've read that in the past, women would ingest tapeworms for weight loss. I'm not recommending it, but I thought you might find utilizing parasites for weight loss intriguing.

Oh I see. I'm tempted to say something along the lines of the role of parasites in the spread of disease and their effects on endemic populations, but that's more epidemiology, and probably not so interesting or helpful :/
