Vest, pants and bare feet. Juniors could bring T-shirt and shorts, or do the lesson in their underwear. My mum decided I didn't need a PE kit 😟

@QuietSophie The emoji seems to suggest you'd rather have had a PE kit. Were bare feet through choice or school rules?☺
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
@GkB01 We all worked in bare feet. It's not nice feeling the odd one out at that age, but every week I had to take off my dress and socks and shoes at the side of the hall 😟

@QuietSophie I'm sure you'd rather have been like your friends. Didn't you change in your classroom or a changing room?
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
@GkB01 The others got changed in the classroom, but I obviously couldn't walk to the hall in just my underwear so I was allowed to undress when I got there.

@QuietSophie It sounds as if you really would have been happier in a kit like the others. Was there a particular reason you had no kit, even if the others did?
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
@GkB01 I was slow at getting undressed and dressed, so mum thought it would be easier for me to strip down to my vest and pants.

@QuietSophie I take it you were able to wear a proper PE kit as you got older?
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
After the age of 7 we all had a proper PE kit.
GkB01 · 51-55, M
@QuietSophie I'm guessing from what you already said, you were pleased about that.

@QuietSophie did you continue with bare feet indoors or opt for Plimsolls?
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
@GkB01 Yes, it was a bit chilly running around in my pants 🙄
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
@Adec757 I still went in bare feet.
GkB01 · 51-55, M
@QuietSophie Bare feet the best choice even if chilly underfoot😯

@QuietSophie great answer...
QuietSophie · 26-30, F
@GkB01 Yes, it was nice 😌
