Which major is better? What can make me more?

I need help right now I am going for my associates degree in social work major but once I graduate I was looking at going for psychology science major for my bachelors. I don't know which one would make more money in the field and which one would better get me in the field with just a bachelors instead of a masters degree.

I had a bachelors in psychology. I did some work as a social worker, made okay from the state, hated my stint in child welfare though. If you are thinking career wise, even though psychology is more interesting, I would recommend the social work degree only because to really make money you need to have your Masters. If your bachelors is in social work the masters program does not take as long. I am a clinical social worker, LCSW, and do therapy.

@Trenchycoat If i do want to get my masters degree would you suggest in psychology or in social work once I get my bachelors in probably social work now

@HopelessRomantic Social work, for a couple of reasons, the masters program is not as long if you already have bachelors, second Licensed Social Worker you have more opportunities, you can teach college, do therapy, be an administrator. I started out in a program for Masters of Counseling, (psychology) but switched. The only negative is the curriculum for social work is so BOOOOOOOOORING. I like the psychological stuff better.

@Trenchycoat What did you switch to? and yeah my goal is to teach in a college or be a therapist

@HopelessRomantic I started out Masters in Counseling at one university. I switched to Masters of Social Work at another university. I currently maintain a fairly full caseload, mostly children... I love toys and games just a kid at heart. Just research the programs and pick the best fit for you. From a practical standpoint though the masters in social work has more value work wise.
