Any IT professionals, who went to school?

I am currently back in school getting a second degree in Information Technology. I would love some guidance on how to put myself out there for possible job offers/internships.

Simple... Be a male and be Asian. Failing those two... Make sure you lie and say you know the computer language no matter the job because they're all easy enough to learn on the job.

@Qwerty14 That would be an interview ender for me. I get a candidate to talk generally about the language and what they've found while developing in it compared to other languages. The reason I always ask is because someone pulled this on me and it cost me in an interview I was otherwise doing well at, but had lied in.
@GlassDog Yeah you gotta be good at lying to get away with this sometimes. Still most developers can handle their shit. I quite comfortably code in 10+ languages and they all have stuff in common so you can fudge it well from that point

@Qwerty14 Yeah, it was very early in my career and I only knew three or four, and no object-orientated stuff at the time. I could easily get away with it now but now I wouldn't need to!
@GlassDog Yeah. Even before interviews I will look up code the company uses and do some examples on it. Gotta just make sure you are good at what you do. Helps I've worked for a variety of companies too.

@Qwerty14 That's something else I do now (but didn't at the start of my career). If they ever ask that question, "Is there anything you'd like to ask us about the company?" you can guarantee what they're actually asking is "Have you done your homework on us?"
