How do you work out this numeracy question?

A Year 10 English essay was due to be submitted on 17th July, with a late submission penalty of 4% per day.

The English teacher gave Daisy's essay a mark of 87%. However the essay was handed in 5 days late.

What will Daisy's final mark be for her essay? Give the mark as a whole percentage.

@summerlove I kept multiplying the total by .04, then subtracted that from the total. I did that 5 times, for the number of days late.
Was I correct?

@NewKidInTown Well the answer is 70% so I guess you just got to round it up, but yeah pretty much right haha. I had no idea.

@NewKidInTown No I'm just doing online practice quizzes. I do have an exam next month but I'm just trying to prepare for it and practice as much as I can because I need it haha and I find it's good asking for help on here since people explain it really well and help me.
