A painting was bought in 1960 and sold in 2007 for six times its cost price. What percentage profit is this?

600% -100% original cost = 500%? I don't really see how to make such a thing. it's sorta like 'a bucket is 5 gallons, there's a 3 feet snow serpent from a planet 3 times farther out than mars is from venus on a friday at noon, how big is a bucket?' sorta question, I'd think.
