@Wraithorn I was thinking of my daughter and some of the things she came up with.

@cherokeepatti Share some of them here if you like.

@Wraithorn I didn't know what was up with this child, she was hard to raise, you had to spell out every little thing with her but at the same time she was smart about things like math, science & music...One time she got mad at another kid for something they did and she was wanting revenge. I warned her not to do it and said "Two wrongs don't make a right" and she said "A wrong and a right don't make a right either"...struck me as strange but she was thinking in terms of math, positive/negative which I figured out much late after researching Asperger syndrome....One time I told her a little joke "How do you know when it's time to change your underwear?" She said "how?"... I said "When you fling it up against the wall and it sticks"....she didn't laugh but about a week late I walked past her room and the door was open, she had a pair of her panties and was flipping them up against the wall...😂...she took everything literally.

@cherokeepatti Looolll. That's awesome ! Thanks for that.
My brother's young son has also been diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. Like your daughter he is certainly not stupid. He just doesn't seem to have a natural ability to relate well to other kids.
All things considered, and knowing what I now know, I suspect that I also had such issues when I was a kid. I probably still have them considering my extreme introversion.
I think my younger brother also has it a bit. He is an electronical engineer and also not stupid.
My half brother definately has it too.
So it seems to run in the genes of my family. ☺

@Wraithorn I believe it does in mine too, my sister is going to an autism support group now. My daughter got two science degrees, one in Physics and the other in physics engineering.

@cherokeepatti yeah and I was forced to play with other children when i was young...otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I liked to keep my hands busy doing chores and hobbies and stuff.

@cherokeepatti Well good for her ! I hope she gets paid accordingly. You must be quite proud Patti.

@Wraithorn surprised me...she is a paradox.
