Freaking out over my grade.

I didn't do well in chemistry this semester, and now my gpa suffered quite a bit because of it.

I feel like I just screwed myself for life. Could grad schools choose not to accept me in the future because of this grade?

I'm only in my second semester but I feel incredibly stupid.

Good luck. I switched majors specifically because chemistry classes destroyed my GPA.
BUT you shouldn't suffer too much since it's only one class. If push comes to shove, you can always retake it. Don't stress too much.

How bad was the grade and what is your GPA now? You have plenty of time to make that up, and while GPA is one criteria for grad school it is not the only one.

@Lackwittyname I got a D and my gpa will go down to just under a 3.0

Ah, well don't worry too much. When I was taking classes I got a D in Algebra, had to retake then got a C, both in my first three semesters. I still ended up with a 3.8 graduating Magna Cum Laude, so you can do it as well. Worst thing you can do is beat up on yourself over this.

You're fine! Keep pressing forward. You could always retake the class for a new grade if you need to.
