The teaching of good manners should begin at home and THEN the children will take them where ever they go; even at school.
The training should start EARLY not wait until they are unmanageable 6 year-olds (many are lost to disrespect by then). Parents need to begin the training process practically from birth. That means, as Barney Fife said it, NIP it in the BUD!"
Prisons and Pens are filled to the rafters with those whose parents failed miserably in their attempts to begin worrying for their child's upbringing too late. This aids in a child's self destruction before age 15.
