It would be useful to have some examples. For example, is respecting others' ways of expressing their gender identity a matter of manners? It may be but some will say it is a legal duty. Others may find it a form of political correctness extended too far.
Respecting a waiting line or queue. Is that in the area of manners? Is it a legal duty?
Consider waiting your turn to speak. Is that required by manners? On television it seems to be simply a bad strategy. Your position is just run over or ignored. You have to interrupt these days. You have to be willing to talk when others are talking. Otherwise just don't agree to be on tv and interviewed!
