Why is the message "it's okay to be white" controversial?

Fliers with this message have been appearing on college campuses across the country and stirring up controversy. What's so wrong with the message?

what do you think the reaction would be if the signs said "It's ok to be Black?" The "Black Lives Matter" sure has pissed off a whole lot of white people....the people who have ALL the power and privilege in society, the people who work very hard to keep people of color down.....do you really not see what is wrong with that sign??? You need to educate yourself in the world of racism
