I'd like to be an English teacher, but I am not very good at writing essays. What should I do?

I am very passionate about reading, and becoming an English teacher (high school English teacher to be exact) will be perfect for this (and do some of my own writing on the side). The first thing I know when I enter college to become an English teacher is being flooded with essays. I have never been good at writing them, and I'm afraid that this will keep me from becoming an English teacher.

What do you guys think?

That's why they flood you with essays--so you'll get better with practice!

A good book that may help is this famous old composition textbook:

The Elements of Style
Authors: Strunk & White

If you want to write, then you will need to get better at essays and scholarly writing. If you need to, get a tutor.
