I'd like to be an English teacher, but I am not very good at writing essays. What should I do?

I am very passionate about reading, and becoming an English teacher (high school English teacher to be exact) will be perfect for this (and do some of my own writing on the side). The first thing I know when I enter college to become an English teacher is being flooded with essays. I have never been good at writing them, and I'm afraid that this will keep me from becoming an English teacher.

What do you guys think?

just about any subject in college will be flooded essays unless possible you want to teach some kind of science or engineering.

College is designed to teach you how to get better at that stuff, so as long as you give it half a brain worth of attention you will get better. And to be honest you don't have to be that great at essay writing to be an English teacher unless you want to teach at a college. Most public schools systems will hire if you can spell your name right.
