I'd like to be an English teacher, but I am not very good at writing essays. What should I do?

I am very passionate about reading, and becoming an English teacher (high school English teacher to be exact) will be perfect for this (and do some of my own writing on the side). The first thing I know when I enter college to become an English teacher is being flooded with essays. I have never been good at writing them, and I'm afraid that this will keep me from becoming an English teacher.

What do you guys think?

Take a creative writing course!

@Wiseacre I already did! It was the best class I have ever taken in my high school career. In my opinion, I think creative writing is more for writing your own stories (poems, novels, short stories, plays, etc.).
