Why rely on facts when your intuition gives you all the answers?

hi JovialPlutonian
By intuition I guess you mean sub-conscious emotion? If so these are also thought complexes and they draw on all available data and experience to form a view. Emotion is hard to dissemble. Personally I think is well worth listening to but also should be cross referenced with the conscious rational mind. If both agree fine but if not I suggest listening to intuition and at least put off a decision.

@sogdianrock no that's not what I'm referring to, I'd call that instinct

hi JovialPlutonian
interesting but I do not follow? What is the difference between instinct and intuition and emotion - all being sub conscious thought processes.
Best wishes

@sogdianrock emotions are merely thoughts disguised as feelings and only products of the ego, instinct as you say it is the sum of your experiences so far, intuition is the knowledge beyond what your mind can comprehend (your higher mind/self) the you that has expanded beyond your consciousness. Think of it as you sending you messages bk from where it has already experienced that you are moving towards. You are multidimensional as are we all but are not all aware of.

@sogdianrock it's no wonder ppl are in doubt of their intuition as it is so subtle that many do hear it and mistake fear based thoughts from their ego as it
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@sogdianrock you'd have to be incredibly sensitive to hear it and even more so to know to trust and follow it

hi JovialPlutonian
I do not agree with that at all!
Emotions and feelings are the same. They are not merely thoughts they are subconscious thought. As to their relation to the ego I suggest ego is a spurious concept.
Comprehension is conscious mind function and is not required for the sub conscious thought process to produce feels, emotion or intuition.
I do not agree the conscious mind is the higher self.
So much here I do n to agree with.

I do not agree I think people over value their conscious conclusions and undervalue their feelings, intuition, emotions. I do not think people doubt their subconscious they are trained to ignore or mock it. Fear is a very useful emotion which may well exaggerate danger and risk but that is a very sensible way of warning the conscious mind. I do not agree that is ego driven just an unconscious thought complex.

And no intuition is not a product of your conscious mind

hi JovialPlutonian
no intuition is an unconscious thought complex like emotion and instinct. Well instinct is hardwired but unconscious essentially. Of course all unconscious thought complexes materialise or manifest on the conscious mind and can be backtracked and understood.
The richest part of human mental life is that interplay between sub- conscious and conscious mind - and of course with the minds of others.

@sogdianrock if that's what you wish to believe then so be it. Best wishes nonetheless my friend, it has been interesting to converse with you as always :)
