I think it's funny when Brits are snotty about how they start school at age 3.

Firstly, many people in the US send their kids to preschool at ages 3 and 4.
Secondly, why does it even matter?
And on an unrelated note, why are Brits and Aussies so particular about whether Rugby or Soccer is called Football? My friends from those countries argue about it a lot.

Soccer or also know as football was called association foot ball which eventually got called soccer which is a term coined by the British.
