How do people willingly not want to go to college?

I mean it's expensive and that definitely is enough reason not to go, but if you have the ability to go why not? I just don't understand and I hate that excuse of "my dad didn't go and he turned out alright", yeah that was 20 years ago and now the economy changed and even if you have an undergrad college degree you might not get hired so you should aim higher in your education. Idk. Maybe i'm lacking insight in this currently.

College isn't for everybody.
Some just want to help with family income. Some just want to earn for themselves !
College is also expensive ! Forget the cost of your course. Living expenses; ongoing bills; etc.
I had to wait until i was about 37 before i could afford to go !
And even then i had to fund myself.

@Picklebobble2 Yes that is why I mentioned that if you can't afford it, it's a good reason not to go
