how do i respond to this situation

i sometimes think people treat me 'different' to everyone else, i see people in my local community looking at me....hear people laughing as they walk by me and it makes me really paranoid and annoyed, as i take myself seriously and don't like to laugh hardly.......and it feels as if people are being personal with me.

this behaviour by others has been happening for years now, how should i deal with it?
