Miserable elderly couple.
I went out to eat with a friend and towards the end of our stay this elderly couple was sat near us. Not one positive thing came out of either of their mouths. The poor waiter accidentally forgot to give them another straw and the woman berated him. I heard her say yeah our third straw went from your hand into your pocket. The waiter was apologetic but the woman wasn't letting up.
When he left she was complaining to her husband about other places she had bad service at just picking them apart.
They were also complaining about the zero substitutions rule the restaurant had to the waiter.
I felt sorry and wanted to say something but I unfortunately lacked the courage to say anything. I wanted to tell them to be kind to the kid and there was no reason to snap at and berate him. Perhaps if they were not so miserable and focused on finding something to complain about life would be far more enjoyable.
I cannot stand people like that.
