do you sometimes get the idea that dms/messages here sometimes just get dropped?

like someone tells you to check yours and there's nothing. or you send pretty innocuous, kinda 'this seems like something this person I've talked to might respond about' type things and it's just dead air?

I'd experiment with it more, but that'd involve trying to talk to people and that's a pointless exercise, so I'll just ask everyone else instead.
