I was working with the lead’s mother when this song came out. It was really cool. Not sure where things went from there, but it was a clever tune back in the day.

Awesome tune. Fall of 1986 in the house! I always conflate this with Oran Juice Jones "the Rain" which came out at basically the same time.

@luckranger71 Yeah. And I hated that song. The music was nice, then the vocalist comes on with that angry venomous "rapping". Ugh.

That is a cool song. Thank you for sharing it. I don't think I ever heard it before but I was very busy chasing after twin toddlers at that time.

I remember this on soul train uk !!!!

My brother used to tale it on vhs and then i would have "discos"

If i am right it was around the same time as Word Up and Walk This Way.... give or take a few weeks

I wonder if my mum still has those tapes?
