It's really sad to see an 18-21, from a non-violent Church, make such a statement. The guy who committed the crime, did use religion as an excuse, but it seems as if a couple of factors contributed to his crime:

1. His mental issues, augmented by a history of drug and alcohol abuse.

2. Open availability of guns and ammunition. He got his guns and ammunition at local stores, not alQaeda and not the Mosque.

The Islamic center is doing what it should be doing: being a good neighbor, and telling you and the world that they reject violence. Isn't this what you want them to do? Are you saying that they should be doing something different?
